Brand Identity & Packaging Design for Athenelea Premium Olive Oil
AthenElea was created as a premium olive oil concept inspired by the timeless relationship between the olive tree, Mediterranean heritage, and contemporary product design.
The visual identity combines minimalist aesthetics with organic symbolism, featuring a custom olive branch illustration that communicates purity, authenticity, and natural quality. The packaging was intentionally designed to feel refined and understated, allowing the product itself to become the focal point while conveying a sense of craftsmanship and premium value.
The geometric construction of the symbol subtly references the art of mosaic, where a complete image emerges through the careful composition of individual elements. This idea became a metaphor for the product itself. Exceptional olive oil is the result of multiple factors working together in harmony, from cultivation and harvesting to extraction, quality control, and packaging. The symbol therefore communicates not only the natural origin of the product, but also the concept of quality achieved through balance, care, and attention to detail.
The ceramic-inspired bottle, paired with a restrained color palette and carefully balanced typography, creates a distinctive shelf presence that stands apart from traditional olive oil packaging. Every design decision was guided by the objective of positioning AthenElea as a sophisticated product capable of appealing to both local and international audiences seeking quality, simplicity, and authenticity.
The bottle and label were conceived as a unified packaging communication system, designed to strengthen brand recognition, improve shelf visibility, and support the premium positioning of the product across both local and international markets.
